Real-World EnglishG1 Everyday Life

G1 Everyday Life gets you using English in real situations: six units, six real missions, and an end-of-course showcase where each learner presents their best real mission to the class.

Level
A1+/A2 → B1
Schedule
Wednesdays & Saturdays, 19:00–21:00
Dates
11 Nov 2026 – 30 Jan 2027
Fee
3,600,000 VND

Who it is for

  • School students and working adults learn side by side in one class, so you practise with people of different ages and backgrounds, just like in real life.
  • You know basic English (about A1+ to A2) but freeze when you have to speak to a real person.
  • Your goal is to communicate in daily life, at school, at work or when you travel. You do not need to be preparing for an exam.

Age 15 and over: school students and working adults learn together. Younger learners can join when they have a clear need and a parent agrees.

By the end of G1 you can say "I can…"

AreaI can…
Meeting peopleintroduce myself and talk about my hobbies, school or work for 2–3 minutes, and keep the conversation going by asking questions back
Everyday servicesorder food, shop, ask for directions, book an appointment and describe simple symptoms
Listeningunderstand the main points when people speak clearly, and ask them to repeat or explain
Onlinewrite short everyday messages and emails
Passing on informationpass on simple information, such as directions or a short announcement
Pronunciationbe understood, because I pronounce final sounds and word stress correctly
Learning on my ownfind the IPA in a dictionary and review words with spaced repetition

Target: A2+ on the CEFR scale; G2 Confident Conversations (Course 2) then takes you to B1.

How a unit works

Every unit takes four sessions over two weeks.

  1. MissionGet the unit's real mission, listen to a real conversation, hunt for useful phrases, and try the task straight away to see what you need
  2. ToolkitLearn the phrases, just enough grammar, the unit's pronunciation point, and what to do when you don't understand
  3. RehearsalRole-plays that change direction (a difficult shop assistant, a tourist in a hurry), speaking rounds that get faster, instant feedback
  4. Real Mission and FeedbackShare proof of your real mission or do it live in class, get feedback, and get a stamp in your Communication Passport

3–4U2 · Food and Drink"Could I get…?", "What do you recommend?", ingredients and allergies; countable and uncountable nouns; /iː/ and /ɪ/, numbers and pricesOrder in English at a café or restaurant with English-speaking staff, or record a 2-minute video teaching a Vietnamese dish
5–6U3 · Getting AroundAsking for and giving directions, places and times, booking tickets, checking ("So I go…, right?"); stress in place namesRecord a 3-minute "tour guide" video of your neighbourhood on a map, or guide a classmate with a shared Google Map
7–8U4 · Shopping and ServicesPrices, sizes, returns; comparatives and superlatives; a 4-step booking call; question intonation, spelling names and emailsMake a booking call in a role-play with Nam, then send a real enquiry message to an online shop or international service
9–10U5 · Health and ProblemsSymptoms, reporting a problem ("I've lost…", "My… isn't working"), asking for help politely; present perfect; -ed endingsSolve a chain of problems in a team "escape room" role-play in class
11–12U6 · Making PlansInviting, accepting and saying no politely; talking about the future; short messages; linking and "gonna", "wanna"Plan the end-of-course showcase together and give your own 2-minute talk

Missions stay safe for every age: learners contact only shops, cafés and services, never private strangers online, and learners under 18 can always do a mission with a parent or as a video for the class instead.

How your progress is measured

  • A recorded speaking task in weeks 1, 6 and 12: 2 minutes on your own and 3 minutes of conversation with a partner.
  • It is marked on five criteria (task completion, fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, interaction and strategies), each from 1 to 5.
  • A short vocabulary quiz every two weeks, and a Communication Passport stamp for each real mission.

Next step: You move up to G2 (Course 2) when your final speaking task reaches 3 out of 5 on at least four criteria and your attendance is at least 85%.

Every session date
